Selling at auction
Selling at auction can be a bit of a gamble,
but can be a good idea when the car needs work to make it
saleable.
While you’re unlikely to get as much as you would though a
private sale, auction houses will usually take care of the
paperwork for you and you won’t have to worry about advertising.
And if your car is in bad shape, you’ll get more for it at auction
than you would at a wrecker.
Investigate a number of auction houses to compare fees and
conditions, and make sure you discuss your reserve price (the
lowest amount you’ll accept) with the auction house you choose.
