How to use the keys2drive website

The keys2drive website has two sections which are available before you sign in. These are:

But to get the most from the website, you need to sign in. Then you'll be able to access:

  • Online games
  • Learning materials for driving instructors, parents/supervisors and learner drivers
  • A personal account that enables you to participate in the free sessoin program

What do I do now?

To make the most of the keys2drive site, register now. If you are a learner driver you'll need to sign in to get your free lesson ID.

  • To register you need a current email address.
  • If you are a learner driver, you'll need your learner's licence number.

How do I register?

Enter your details on the registration page. Make sure you read the terms and conditions and then tick the box.

  • HINT: Make the password something easy to remember, perhaps something related to driving like make and model of the car you drive.

An email will be then sent to your email account. It should be there straightaway.

  • HINT: If you can't see the email in your account, check in the 'spam' folder. Email accounts with spam filters such as Hotmail and Yahoo sometimes mistake automatically generated emails for spam.

What happens when I sign in?

After you have successfully registered, you use your email address and password to sign in. Now you have access to the whole keys2drive website. You can also:

  • Apply for a free lesson ID
  • Search for a keys2drive accredited driving instructor
  • Edit your details  
  • Find your free lesson ID 

You'll find links to these pages on the page shown after you sign in.

You only have to register once, but you need to sign in each time you come to the site. To sign in after logging out, go to the top right hand corner of the website and click the 'sign in' link.

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, click on the link on the sign in page, enter your email address and another password will be sent to your email account. Remember to check the spam folder if you can't see the email immediately.

What if I change my email or home address?

Before you change to your new email address, make sure you change your contact details. You do this by:

  1. Signing in
  2. Clicking on the link in the right hand menu 'Edit details'
  3. Changing your email or home address details
  4. Confirming your password twice
  5. Clicking the submit button in the bottom left hand corner

Make sure you keep your details up to date, especially if you have are waiting to hear about the free lesson. Then we can let you know when the program is available in your area.
