What do I bring to the test?
I've completed the requirements, now how do I get my
Phase 2 learner permit?
Your Phase 2 learner permit will be issued to you on the spot
when you successfully complete the required test.

What does having a Phase 2 learner permit
mean?
- You must still display L plates and be supervised while driving
a car. Your supervisor must be someone who has held a full
Australian driving licence for at least four years
- You must adhere to the special rules for Phase 2 learner
drivers
Special rules for Phase 2 learner drivers
- Must clearly display L plates on front and rear of vehicle
- Must always be supervised by person who has held a full
Australian driving licence for a minimum of four years
- Must not exceed a blood alcohol level of 0.0%
- Must not exceed 100km/h
- Cannot drive within Kings Park
What happens next?
Before you are eligible to apply for your P1 licence, you must hold your Phase 2 learner
permit for a further six months. During this period, you are
required to accumulate at least 25 hours of supervised driving
experience, which must be recorded in your logbook (which is given
to you when you pass the PDA).
